Born in Memphis, TN in 1955. Graduated from UTK in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Member of Sigma Nu Fraternity Alumni Chapter. Captain of UTK Ice Hockey Team 1974. Married Laura Ann Ives on February 2, 1980. Two sons, Adam b.1983 and Andrew b.1987. Began work for the old Blue Bell Corporation in 1980. Performed duties as manufacturing manager, human resources manager, fabric services manager, lead software implementer and director of forecasting and planning. Has been involved with Alumni organizations in Tennessee, Missouri, Ohio and North Carolina. Moved to High Point, NC in 1997. Served as Treasurer for the Piedmont Chapter 2000-02. Elected President in 2002. Elected to the UTNAA Board of Governors in June 2003 for District 2.


Linda DeShazo

Linda has spent her entire working career providing health education in a variety of work settings. She received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and began her work career teaching public school (health and physical education) in Virginia. After this three year stint, she returned to college at the University of Tennessee where she received the Master of Public Health degree. She then taught at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; worked for Winston-Salem Health Care (an HMO for RJ Reynolds employees); returned to UNCG; and finally settled into her present, and hopefully last, position with the Guilford County Department of Public Health. She has been with Guilford County for l7 years. Linda is originally from Virginia but has lived in North Carolina over 20 years and calls Greensboro home.

Angie Waller

Born in Nashville, TN in 1972. Graduated UTK in 1994 with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and in 1999 with a MBA through the UTK Professional Program. Involved in several campus groups including Delta Gamma Sorority, Student Orientation Assistant, Student Government, Student Alumni Association, Vol Hostess, & Rho Chi. Prior to returning to UTK for graduate school, Angie worked for Thomas & Betts Corporation in Memphis, TN; Fruit of the Loom in Bowling Green, KY; and Bike Athletic Company in Knoxville, TN. She now works for Sara Lee Branded Apparel in Marketing for the Hanes brand.

Since 2000, Angie & Keith have resided in Winston-Salem, NC with Molly, the dog, and an orange cat named “Neyland.” Angie and her husband, Keith, still make several SEC road trips per year during football season to cheer on the Vols and the Bulldogs (UGA is Keith’s Alma Mater).


Robert M. Green, Jr., CIMA
Treasurer

A native of Tennessee, Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance Management Science from the University of Tennessee in August 1978. Upon graduation, Robert joined Merrill Lynch, serving the firm and its clients in various consulting and management positions. Currently, Robert and his team manage and consult high net worth individuals and institutional portfolios with assets exceeding $500 Million. In March 1988 Robert completed the College of Financial Planning Curriculum and received the designation of Certified Financial Planner. In January 1994 Robert completed course work sponsored by IMCA at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, obtaining the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst, and is currently a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).

Robert and Laura Green recently celebrated 20 years of marriage and have two children, Elizabeth Lane, age 17, and Shelby, age 14. Robert is a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he has served 8 years as a Senior High Youth Counselor, chairperson for the Finance Committee for 6 years ending in 2000 and served 2 years as chairperson for the Strategic Planning Committee. Robert currently serves as Vice President / President – Elect of After Gateway, Inc., a non-profit for severely handicapped young adults.

Outside interests include golf, water and snow skiing, fishing, travel and equity research.
